Danang has a coastline of 30 kilometres long, famous for many beautiful seashores stretching from the north to the south. It makes a perfect location for a beach break on your Vietnam holidays. They are calm seas with green water and nice temperatures throughout the whole year.
My Khe Beach, with around 900 meters in length, is the most crowded of Danang beaches and very popular amongst the locals. It is located about 6 km east of Danang city and about 24km north of Hoian. It is a stretch of smooth sand with an average width between 50m and 70m.
Danang is a splendid place for visitors if you would like to travel to Vietnam. The beach on Lang Co is on a sand spit peninsula with a spotless lagoon on one side, and a long beach traversing the South China Sea on the other. This is one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam, and is yet to achieve its potential as a tourist spot. While travelling between Lang Co and Danang, you go by the Hai Van Pass.
The beach has hotels, pleasure-houses and various abundant services, creating favourable conditions for tourists to relax on the seashores. There are 50 well-equipped and comfortable bedrooms and lots of services in My Khe hotel. Many luxurious seaside villas with over 100 rooms are available for families. You can come here to play and rest at weekend.
Danang is well connected to other cities by sea and air as well as road and rail. In the American War it served as an important South Vietnamese airbase. However, today the French influence is more evident when you see the tree decked avenues and colonial houses.
There is an international airport in Danang which makes it ideal to be included in a twin centre or multi centre package. You could spend a couple of nights in Hanoi – the Capital of Vietnam – and then a week or so in the beaches of Danang. After all a bit of culture and sightseeing will not cause any harm to your itinerary even if you are the most enthusiastic beach lover.
