We spent a total of six hours in Hue and the most exciting thing that happened was me leaving my jumper on the bus and having to get on a motorbike to the bus station to get it back (much to the drivers disapointment!), oh, and a visit to KFC - yes, that’s right KFC!

We’d got a bus from Hanoi to Hue and we had to wait for another bus to take us to Hoi An. They were sleeper buses where, instead of a seat, you have a bed so you can sleep on over night journeys and are suprisingly comfortable. The only draw back is the ‘beeping law’. Because most motorbikes dont have mirrors, when you are over taking any vehicle you must beep your horn so the vehicle in front knows you’re there. This is not the best law when you’re trying to sleep on a but that insists on overtaking everything on the road!

Vietnam Travel, we visited the old citadel in Hue which was very pleasant, we were planning to go into the imperial city but the huge queue put us off (we met a couple of guys later who did visit and said it was very disapointing) so we decided to wander through the park on the river in search of a nice cafe for some lunch before the next bus journey but instead we found KFC. It was a good day!
